Book 2 of the Villains Of Lore series..

I wanted to like book 2, I really did. I went in all excited. But honestly it wasn’t as good as book 1. I found myself really annoyed over and over again. I just felt like the writer took all the power away from Hercules aka Alexis and gave it to the men around her. After everything she went thru. I expected more to be honest. But her animal protectors made this book to be honest. Nyx and Fluffy Jr. seriously best thing ever. Nyx once again had me laughing on several occasions and you know who Fluffy Jr was going to become… Because if you know the Mythology of Hercules then you know (Pegasus) his famous sidekick, protector then you know Alexis’s aka Hercules will have a version of that as Fluffy Jr. “I hated her husband’s hate to say that”. I found that whole situation to be weird. Just straight up weird and it made me really uncomfortable. I honestly felt like it was not needed in this book. I think she would have been better alone and figuring out her new life. but it was just gross to me… sorry not sorry. I felt like they were just controlling over everything she did. The whole hooking up scene was just ewww no not for me. I did really enjoy seeing Alexis finally having her whole family together Charlie and her parents. That was a great part of the book. Also why does every Mythology book. Make Medusa the hated character? I really don’t get that. Medusa deserves better. She was just misunderstood and treated like shit by the men in Mythology. To make her the enemy once again was just heart breaking. But, for anyone loves a strong main female character. You will love this book. If you love animal sidekicks that will make you laugh over and over again and getting to see the Greek Gods in everyday life, then you will love this book.

I don’t know if she is writing book 3 or not, I guess we will find out in the future. But for now, there is only 2 books in the series and as I said above book 1 was way better then book 2.

I wanted to add something else – I’m not into MM books (Male to Male) relationships. But I did really enjoy the relationship between Achillies and Petro. You could feel how much they loved each other. But I bloody hated how they treated Alexis and they got what they deserved.

Please beware that “there are MMF and MM” relationships in this book, So, you will be dealing with that. If it makes you uncomfortable then this book. Will, not be something you will want to deep dive into.
