Look, I’m going to just say this READ this book!!! This series is so amazing. This is the retelling of King Arthur, Lancelot and Genevive. But instead of it being in their time period it takes place in the 21st century. This is book 2 of the Defying the Stars series.

The Best friend, The Girlfriend and the romance that took fire between the 3 of them… What a mess!!!

I loved Lancelot so much, From the first time you met him in this book, until the very last page. Honestly, what a sweetheart and I just wanted to see him get his happy ending.

Emily – Always says in this series, the couple gets their happy ending. I won’t tell you who gets the girl. Because you got to read the book! Plus, I don’t want to give up any spoilers of this amazing romance.

Arthur – Oh boy, when I first met him in this book. You can’t help but love him and root for him. By the end of the book. You, want to see him fall from grace. Because damn he deserves it!

Genevive – I loved her character; she was a fly caught in a trap between these two guys. The boyfriend and the best friend what a mess… But she held her own and ended up being a warrior girl. Which I totally appreciated. I also loved that she was a Chef, the scenes of her cooking in the kitchen were such a pleasure to read.

Ok – A few things I want to say about this book, I loved the best friend, Bro romance that Arthur and Lancelot had. From what I gathered they were supposed to be enemies instead they became best friends. They protected each other, to the point of one of them sacrificing his life to protect the other one. I also loved Lancelot’s relationship he had with his sister Juliette and yes, the same Juliette from book 1 from Burning Daylight. You, go to see Roman and Juliette and what is happening in their private life. I also loved Lancelot’s brother, and I hope to see him in the next book .. that we all know Miss Emily is writing. Plus, all the other friends and family members. I hope to learn more about in the future books…

Now, I need to give a shout out to the best boy!!! ever the dog Cavall!!! omg, omg, omg!! What a precious soul. Something I love is when a book has a furry side kick and Cavall was that sweetheart. (Melts)
