Luna Mason, Mafia collection. Beneath the mask series.

  1. Distance
  2. Devoted
  3. Detonate
  4. Detained

I decided to read the rest of the Mafia series, beneath the mask. I knew that I originally said I wasn’t going to read the rest of the collection. Plus, I’m kinda a brat and want to read the rest of the collection. To say ok I have finished this series, I can put it back on the shelf. My feelings are still the same about Luca and Rosa’s book Devoted. I’m sorry I’m going to repeat myself. There is something really gross about a writer using a rape and drug situation. For her main female character, being kidnapped and falls in love with her kidnapper. I find that to be line that you don’t cross. I’m sorry no woman that has been SA is going to want to be touched by a man, let alone fall in love with someone that is holding her hostage. Sorry, not sorry. It’s something that I’m very passionate about. I don’t think rape should be taken lightly and used like this. As, I said in my last review that I did on Luna Mason.

For – The rest of the collection I have to say, I honestly enjoyed the rest of the series. I’m not sure why she says they’re standalone’s because they’re not standalones. Each book intertwines with the rest of the characters. So, you don’t skip a beat when you read them in the correct order. If, you don’t you will have to go back to see how it plays out in the other books. But again, that is just me like huh that makes no sense to me at all. Would I recommend these books. Not, at this time since I’m still really bothered by book 2 devoted. It’s not a series at this time; I would go back and read. Especially if you have issues on SA and other subjects that might not be your cup of tea. The stories are really about these men being monsters, walking in the dark doing bad things. It’s written around the Mafia life. So, you get to see that in her books. The sex scenes are very detailed as much as the violence scenes. So, you have been warned. Cause omg it’s smutty and I mean smutty.

Again – At this time, I’m not going to leave a link to Luna Mason. Because I don’t want to be like YA read this series. READ this violent rape that happens to Rosa. Nope sorry not going to happen. So, I will leave that for you to make the choice to check out her work or not.

I don’t know what else to say at this time. But I felt like I needed to say hey I finished it, here are my views. So, until next time readers.
