If you love Greek Mythology, A strong female lead character, dark moody men, a War college setting. Then I’m going to say, this book is for you.

Alexis – Grows up in Foster Care with well human scum it’s the only way to put it. From living in a trailer home to living in a cardboard box. With her Foster brother Charlie and her best friend that is an invisible Snake named Nyx. Well things happen and she finds out that she has Spartan Blood and is sent to a Spartan War college, if she survives and graduates, she becomes immortal and part of the Gods. She is tested to her limit. I adore Alexis honestly after everything she went thru. I was surprised how she handled all the craziness of the Spartan World being thrown at her. From Mere human to a God. I wanted to hug her a few times; I totally admit it and protect her. I felt a love for her, from the first chapter.

Now let’s talk about Nyx – Nyx is her “Best friend” a Snake, you can’t see. She can only talk to Alexis and guards her with her life. I’m hoping in book 2 the Bonds of Hercules. We will get to know more about her backstory and who she is. I liked Nyx she is funny, crazy, scary at times. But you feel the love she has for Alexis and will do anything to make sure. She survived at the college. Got to love a dark magical creature like Nyx.

There are so many characters and gods to name so I won’t, cause you need to read the book. Each one will either make you hate them or you fall in love with them. The moment you meet them. This book draws you in from the very first chapter.

Alright – I’m going to say this, but the very last few chapters of the book. I really didn’t like it at all. I felt like the writer Jasmine Mas took all of Alexis power from her and gave it away. I was floored about what happened and I’m really bitter about it. To be totally honest. That is all I’m going to say about that, because you got to read the book to FIND out.
