Book 2 of the Society of Villain’s series…
I can’t tell you how much I love the writing of L.J Shen, once you start a book by her. You don’t want to put it down. When she said that she was writing book 2 of the Society of Villain’s series. I couldn’t wait until it was up for Pre-order.. I knew that I had to have it. I loved Bad Bishop it was probably one of my favorite reads of 2025. So, knowing Twisted Pawn was coming out in 2026. I knew that it was probably going to be my favorite read of 2026. It didn’t disappoint; this book is so freaking amazing. I loved how the story of Tiernan and Lila were continued in Twisted Pawn. You, got to see what happened next with them. Achilles is the brother of Lila and Tiernan is the brother of Tierney. But they’re also a couple. Talk about a family affair, I don’t really know where to start with Tierney we knew that she was a mess in Bad Bishop you got to see a insight of what happened to her in the camps. But Twisted Pawn you get to see, feel and experience what she went thru. You, get to see how much her past damaged her and what happened between her and Achilles when they were teenagers. You, get to see how they went from best friends, first crush, first love. To hating each other as adults and finding each other again. I loved Tierney I loved what she did for Achilles. Even if he didn’t know it, Tierney put his happiness first. I can’t tell you how much I respected that. Then Achilles the golden retriever mafia g-d. Who, pretends to hate her, loves her with all his heart and soul. Would do anything for her. They go thru so much and I mean so much. To come back together and wow what they go thru is insane. You can’t help but fall in love with them and want to see them come back together and become who they were meant to become. I can’t tell you how the ending had me crying and then cheering for them. Omg L.J Shen you left me speechless because wow what an ending to Twisted Pawn!!! This is a 5 star read, like I said about Bad Bishop, and I totally recommend reading this book!!! Because well all I can say is wow what a trip, what a journey, what a ride, what an amazing story.
