The Strawberry Patch Pancake House. by Laurie Gilmore.

Growing up in a Restaurant and meeting Chef after Chef, chasing that dream. About becoming a Michelin Star chef someday. This book spoke to me; it reminded me of the guys that worked in my mom’s restaurant in my hometown. It brought back such memories of what I saw and what I experience being raised among these men.

Archer – Is an amazing character, driven Chef, wanted that star more then anything. Then life happens, real life happens to him. He finds himself in Dream Harbor. Having to face that reality and he takes it on. I love how he slowly changed to become the father/man that Olive needed. I have to admit he had me crushing kinda hard on him. Noting like a guy that steps up to the plate and does the right thing for his family.

Now let’s talk about Iris, I honestly liked her, I thought she was working hard to keep herself afloat. Paying rent, making sure she stayed alive and did what she had to do. I loved the scenes of her teaching water Aerobics The ladies cracked me up. When she moves in with Archer to take care of Olive as her Nanny. I loved how she changed; she grew up around these two people. I really admired her trying to do the right thing especially for Olive.

Olive – Omg that little girl had my heart from the moment you met her. What an adorable little girl. Seriously, she really is the Strawberry princess.

I love this book series, honestly it really gives me life. You can relate to these people. You can see these people in real life. This town becomes not just a story, but you can see it come to life in the page. The world building that Laurie Gilmore has created is just so amazing. I’m 3 books down and I want to read them all!!! I want to see what happens next and what place we visit next. I can’t tell you what book I like more out of the 3. Because each of them brings such an amazing couple and fun business to learn about and see the cast and characters that visit. I have to admit at 5 am this morning I was craving Pancakes so badly. I don’t even like Pancakes, but I was like man I could go for a short stack with Strawberries.

This is another 5-star read for me 🙂
