The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore.

The moment I was told about this book from my local Barnes and Nobles. I couldn’t wait to read it. This book puts you in all the feels and I mean all the feels. It gets you from the first page and you just can’t put it down. I started at 11 pm and finished at 5 am this morning. The story is so sweet, Jeanie takes over her aunt Dot’s cafe in Dream Harbor, the Pumpkin Spice Cafe. She has no idea what she is doing but she plans to make this work. Starting over in this town that came out of a romance novel. She isn’t looking for anything nor anyone until she meets Logan. The local farmer that has been burnt badly by his last relationship. He doesn’t plan to fall for her and tries everything he can to not fall. But you know what they say when you avoid something. Eventually it’s going to make you face it. With the whole town watching. Ugh, this story was romantic, sweet and honestly just such a perfect read. I loved Logan and his family his grandfather and grandmother and his family of farm animals. Which are all named after musicians lol. It reminded me of The Gilmore Girls to be honest. That small town life, that small town stories, the small-town people and everything that happens around the local coffee house. I also loved how it was written around Fall and Halloween. You can see the town and Logan’s farm come alive. Pumpkins and Apples and Halloween decorations on all the houses and local businesses. My favorite Holiday I could see it and imagine what it smelt like. Pumpkin Spice Latte is my favorite thing to drink from August until November. It becomes my whole personality. This town becomes Pumpkin Spice Latte you’re going to love this book.

Something I know well I grew up in the local “Coffee house”, My mom and her partner owned. I loved hanging out with the customers. Knowing their orders and hearing what was happening around town. Watching the kids grow up and turn into full fledge adults. It was the place to be late at night or early in the morning for their first coffee hit of the day. Those were the days I wish that I could bottle and keep forever in my memories. So, I could relate to what she saw, felt, experienced, something that I will never forget. Then you add that first love to the mix. Your favorite holiday and you walk into the Pumpkin Spice Cafe … 🙂

Oh and I need to give a big SHOUT out to Ghost, if you know you know. The Cafe Cat teehee.

Oh, does anyone else love the fact, that the book club was reading about a farmer and his lady? As the romance between them was brewing around them lol.

I recommend this book with my, whole heart and soul. It’s a 5-star read and 2 thumbs up. It was just sooo good and I’m so glad that I did. I can’t wait to read more books by Laurie Gilmore.
