Why are people NOT talking about this book, I really don’t understand it at all. Bad Bishop is such a ride. Dark Romance, Mafia, strong male character lead. An amazing Deaf Female lead character. Forced Marriage, secrets beyond secrets. It’s one of those books you can’t put down. Tiernan is this dark broody, Mafia guy that people fear. He doesn’t believe in romance, doesn’t believe in love and doesn’t give a shit about Lila. He has no time for her or the baby that she is carrying in her belly. Lila’s mom has raised her to “play dumb’ to not show anyone how smart she really is. That includes her own family, To the outside world she is retarded, mentally challenged and she has played the game well. Until Tiernan learns quickly that she is a genius, a very dangerous genius that is as dark as he is but an innocent. He finds himself falling deeper into her, and her into him. This story has so many twists and turns it will making you go WTF!! over and over again.
Ok something else I want to mention – I loved how L.J Shen brings you into the world of the Deaf community and ASL!!! 🙂
Now for the trigger warnings – Rape, resulting in a pregnancy. I think that is the only trigger warning I found in the book. The scene is dark and brutal. I’m not going to sugar coat it. So please beware of that. Before jumping into this book.
