Indian Market 2025

We celebrated 103 Years of Indian Market this year. Each year it gets bigger and more beautiful. I took these photos of the different dancers that were present from the Reservation and surrounding area’s of New Mexico. I’m usually a big scaredy cat and I won’t ask if I can take pictures of people. Plus I’m really not really good at it LoL! But the dancers were very kind and allowed me to take their photos.

Each photo represents an animal, from the Buffalo dancers to the Eagle dancers. It represents Rain, Hunt, and community. Which is fitting because the Indian Market is about their community. You’re being welcomed in a way to their table. Take a seat listen to the stories watch the dancers and look at the art. Because this land before it became New Mexico was their land. The Indian Market is about letting you into their story that they’re telling. I love that because the story is beautiful. The culture is beautiful the people are beautiful. I’m blessed to be part of this magical community that we get to call home. I was so thrilled to know it has been 103 Years! Can you imagine everything that has come and gone since then. Magical just magical and in a small way. I left my footprints as I walked the plaza, eat the food, watched the dancers and hung out with my community. I have become part of the story. 🙂 well anyway Happy Indian Market!!!
