First off let me say – I was scared that they were going to ruin such a great cartoon with such a great message. But let me tell you they didn’t ruin it all. Actually, it was better than I could ever imagine.
Gerard Butler – Brought Stoick the Vast alive 🙂 He made him bigger than life and he truly brought his cartoon character to life. You could feel the love he had for Hiccup Horrendous aka Mason Thames. Mason Thames as Hiccup was breath taking and every single thing he felt you felt thru the screen. I adored him and he really brought everything he had, and you could see it. I loved him playing Hiccup and I’m really glad they went with him. Now let’s talk about Astrid Hofferson aka Nico Parker. I know people were really pissed off that it wasn’t the Blonde Blue-eyed girl that Astrid is in the cartoon. But Nico was the perfect fit. She is a beautiful lovely young lady, and I was thrilled to see her as Astrid. She really showed how Astrid is and how big her heart is for Toothless and Hiccup. She also is a very brave Viking, and I loved that about her. I do wish that they kept some of the same costume pieces that Astrid had in the cartoon but that is just me LOL!!! I liked the Skulls that she wore heehee. Now let’s talk about Goober the Belch aka Nick Frost OMG!! I loved Goober he was amazing, and I loved how he loved Hiccup and only wanted to see him be the best he could be. He was a great side kick for his dad Stoick. They made such great best friends, and I loved seeing how Goober helped raise Hiccup :0) you could tell how proud he was. Then for the side kick’s those kids put their whole hearts into this movie and I’m really happy for them and really proud of them. They made the movie come to life and I was so happy and really enjoyed every single moment!! I recommend seeing the live action and I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
Now for my biggest SHOUT out for Toothless, I LOVE YOU!!!! <3 You’re such a good dragon!!!!
