This is the 3rd book of the Empyrean Series, Book 1 is Fourth Wing, Book 2 is Iron Flame and Book 3 is Onyx Storm. She is planning to have 5 books in the whole series. Hopefully book 4 will be out in 2027. This series is amazing. Dragons, Dragon Riders, Love, Romance, War, a War College, Family drama and many, many, more. From book 1 you’re taken on a ride and what a ride. I have laughed, I have cried, I have screamed and I have cheered. I love the characters Violet and Xaden, the Fourth Wing family and classmates. The Dragons Tairn and Sgaeyl are just amazing and their romance story, also the teen Dragon Andarna that they raise. That intertwines Violet and Xadens love story is amazing, and you want to see them be together. Even after everything they have gone thru. You’re like ok this needs to happen. They deserve to have a happy ending. It’s just one of those fantasy book series that you completely get absorbed into every inch of the story. What a cliffhanger Onxy Storm has been left on, and I’m so lost of why she left it like she did. But it made me scream, it made me yell, it made me cry and then I asked why, why would you leave it like that. I’m so puzzled but Rebecca has a way of writing books that leave you dizzy and completely in awe. This is a series I will be going back and rereading over and over again. I imagine I will see new things that I have missed. I really enjoyed it and I really love every single book. But, for now it’s time to put them on the shelf and look at their beauty every time I look at my bookshelf. I just hope that in 2027. She will release the fourth book. Because I just can’t, this book has been weeks and weeks of reading and it now leaves a deep ache to read what happens next. If you loved the first 2 books, read book 3 it’s amazing and I mean amazing. SO many things have happened, so many feelings, so much heartbreak, and the love it’s all about the love of these two amazing characters. I don’t know what else to say. But damn Rebecca did you have to leave it like you did!!!???
