The Things Gods Break, by Abigail Owen.

This is a Greek retelling about Hades and his love interest Lyra. This book was not my cup of tea. It reminded me of Divergent but in Tartarus. I felt like this book has been done over and over again. Plus, Hades only had one true love Persephone and not anyone else. I couldn’t get passed that him with a new love interest that was a big fat nope. But I know Hades and Persephone has been done over and over again. In so many retellings. Which I have been reading thru since 2025. Just because it was not my cup of tea. Doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it. Just means that it isn’t a book. I would go back and reread. It’s great for a younger audience that really loves Greek Mythology and bad ass warrior chick that has to go thru lots of different things and experiences to end up with Hades. It’s a heavy book and I mean like chapters 522 pages. I wish I could say that there was a lot of great things about this book. But I honestly couldn’t find anything that I can say wow I loved about it. That’s so sad when you can’t find one thing to say good about a book you read. Don’t always trust the cover art doesn’t mean the book is worth reading. (Just saying) Anyway until next time readers.
