Twisted – Ever After Series – Aladdin Retelling by: Emily Mcintire.

I wanted to like this one, I really, really did. But sadly, I really, really didn’t like it at all. Out of the Ever After series this one was just a flop in my eyes. I struggled with the story line and who the characters are meant to be. From Julian being Jafar, From Aidan being Aladdin and Yasmin being Jasmin. I think the only character that I like and I mean really liked. Was the snake Bella that was really adorable I have to admit. The plot took forever to get to a point where I went oh ok. I can see where this is going but I honestly couldn’t with this book. I just felt like this was a retelling that didn’t need to Read. I know that it was supposed to be a Dark Romance and it could be considered a Dark Romance, but I can’t say that it fits in that category. I’m also not a Disney fan so it’s not something that I would normally read or have in my collection. I know that any Disney fan will love this book, because who hasn’t wanted to see what happened to Jasmin and Aladdin. Being in the 21st century you get a taste of that. Honestly, I think the only thing I liked about this book was seeing Jafar and Jasmin aka Julian and Yasmin hooking up, you will have to read the book. To find out what happens to all the characters.

Please, understand just because I wasn’t a fan of this book. Doesn’t mean I’m saying her books are horrible and not worth reading. Emily writes amazing and books. I have done several reviews on her books. That I have read by her in 2025.

It just wasn’t my cup of tea… I do hope that you check out her work and the different series that she has written. From Under the Stars, Ever After Series and Defying the stars.
