Alright this book is for the Werewolf lovers 🙂
This book is adorable, straight up adorable. It’s a really cute slow burn and the romance between the 2 main characters. Serena Paris and her Alpha and Mate Koen. Koen is what you expect a Werewolf Alpha to be. Good looking has a body of a lumberjack and loves his mate. Respected by his pack and adored by his family and friends. Serena is a Hybrid half Werewolf and half human. She is learning about what it is to be a Werewolf. When she is dragged back to the pack. For her own safety cause well, the girl is being hunted. By the humans and the Vampires because she is a halfling and everyone wants to take her a part bit by bit to see how that happened. So, the only safe place is to be with her mate, protector and Alpha. I loved the Banter not just between her and Koen. But other pack members and her best friend btw who is a Vampire. Who is married to a Werewolf lots of mix matching among the different creatures in this book. But apparently, they hate each other, so ya explain that to me? There really isn’t any spice in this book. Until the very end of it. Like I said slow burn. There is a sex scene that introduces you to “Knotting”. I’m going to let you all google that. Cause I don’t really want to explain it. But please google it, if you want to know more on the subject. This book is perfect for a 20 something reader. Or someone that wants lite spice and very sweet romance. I have to admit I probably won’t read this again. But I will add it to my Werewolf collection, and I am recommending it to you all. Because it is well written.
It’s over hyped so over hyped. I hate to say that but it’s true. This book is being so over hyped, and I don’t see why. It really doesn’t fit the hype at all.
Here are things I hated –
First off, the whole Knotting thing, freaking fucking disgusting but I guess because it’s Werewolves it makes sense. But I have to admit it made me want to vomit. That was such a turn off for me.
Then the different creatures from Werewolves, humans, Vampires all hooking up with each other. I miss having a book between the same creatures. Sorry not sorry. I can’t see a human even a halfling hooking up with an Alpha.
