I honestly wanted to like it. I really, really did. But like Movie 1. I didn’t like it. It made no sense to me. The story line is just like WTH are you even talking about or singing about. Best friends, Fiancé picks the other girl, mean girl vibes hands down not a fan. The music didn’t make any sense to me. The songs just didn’t match the movie. Sorry not sorry. I think they could have done better on that. I kept wanting to love the soundtrack but sadly I just didn’t and don’t.
Ariana Grandes –Glinda is a Vain childish character, that you just want to hate and trust me I hated her. Plus, she was just PINK and I mean PINK. Like she looked like someone vomited pink all over her all the time. But I will say the last like 20 mins of the film. You got to see a dark side of Glinda which I truly loved. Oh, and those boots she was wearing were so cool, where can I get a pair of them??? anyone, anyone??
Cynthia Erivo – Elphaba was the best thing about the movie, the actress is just stunning, and her look was BEAUTIFUL and I mean BEAUTIFUL
Jonathan Bailey – Fiyero the sexiest man alive for 2025 and I can see why. I loved his character or characters. He played more than one.
Oh, and btw – Nessa is a little bitch and I hated her character and what a freaking liar she was. How she created the Tinman was just heartbreaking hands down. Then add Fiyero’s scene becoming the Scarecrow was honestly the heart break of the movie. (Just Saying)
All the pink made me want to vomit, I’m sorry but there is no need for that much pink in a movie.
Here is what I liked…
The Costumes – Seriously just stunning and I couldn’t get over how amazing they were. I loved the different time periods being represented. I loved how each fit and color mixed with the storyline. Visually it was just amazing, and I honestly couldn’t get over it.
The Set – Seriously it was probably the most beautiful set of 2025 I have seen in a movie this year. I honestly couldn’t stop looking at everything and wanted to see more. What a visual what a beautiful, experience for your eyes. They put so much love into each place and moment. I really appreciated that so much. Something about being able to see the places come alive is just like wow!!!! I think my favorite set was the castle. That place looks like it came alive and I honestly wanted to see more.
Background Moments –
I loved seeing the storylines of Scarecrow aka Fiyero come alive, the Cowardly Lion, Tinman and of course seeing Dorothy and Toto. I read that they’re making a new Wizard of Oz. That is coming out in 2026. From the small snippet in Wicked it looks good. We really needed a new Wizard of Oz film. That doesn’t have all the background history and noise of the original movie. I really hope they can do it justice. The way the books were written like. Then what Hollywood turned it into.
Also, what happened to the Red Ruby Slippers? Why where they white diamond slippers, instead of Ruby Red? That made no sense to me at all… I’m so confused.
