Oh boy this book was intense. I honestly had so many questions like why, why would you do what you’re doing to these women? Why would get off by it? Why would you want to break down a woman like that.
I hated the main character Ryat – He made my stomach turn what he did for this skull in bones style secret society. I just wanted to scream at him like DO YOU SEEE!! What you’re doing boy. Like how you could do that and be totally ok with it. Seeing how dark and honestly gross he was. Made the bad boy well better to like in a lot of ways. Because I honestly believe in my heart, he knew he was a dark soul, and this was just a big game to him. He didn’t care and until he did but to see how it played out just blew my mind.
Blakely – His love interest honestly, I felt for her at the end knowing what I know now. But I can see how she fell for the bad boy at the end. How his lifestyle suited her since she was groomed from a little girl in the lifestyle and not even know it. What an easy killing game to her the games in the bedroom and not in the bedroom. How she liked being controlled by him. How it got her off she liked the scenes they made up. The games and the power play that he displayed in the end they were perfect for each other.
This book comes with a warning. Sex scenes are in the BDSM way. From Breath play to being tied up and, in my view, tortured. Physical and mental abuse, rape, by not just her love interest but other characters. Family game playing, cat and mouse moves like on a chess board. This book should be read if you’re into a REALLY heavy dark and honestly vulgar viewpoint about sex and secret societies.
It’s twisted AF and it made me stop many times to LOOK stuff up. Because I had NEVER heard of a lot of stuff this writer speaks of in the bedroom. I also want to warn you that he does use drugs on her without her knowing or permission and does stuff to her body. To my opinion is rape 100 percent and made me physically sick to my stomach and at times had me crying.
If you’re into rape and other things I have mentioned then this book is for you, but for me I will not be reading it again and I don’t recommend it at all. But I will admit I loved the cover art. The picture is pretty awesome of Ryat. I really love a good book cover. That catches your eye enough to stop and pick it up to see what the book is about.
I got asked why did you finish this book if you didn’t like it? Well simply I wanted to finish it so I could review it. I have enough respect for the writer and the book itself to finish it. I don’t regret it at all. It just wasn’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean there aren’t people that are into this kind of book. So I’m glad I finished it and got to write my thoughts down on my website.
